Protect Your WordPress Site: Security Services That Work
How WordPress Security Services Protect Your Website From Hackers
WordPress Vulnerability Assessment & Hacker Protection
The digital world has seen a significant increase in security threats in recent years, with hacker attacks on websites being a major concern in cybersecurity. One platform that is particularly vulnerable is WordPress, which is widely used and therefore a popular target for hackers. About 95.62% hacked website in 2021 is WordPress based site. Therefore, to improve website security we conducted a vulnerability assessment on a WordPress based website, in order to identify vulnerabilities that may be exploited by hackers. To do the vulnerability assessment, we used the network-based scanner based to detect vulnerabilities on the WordPress website. Our results showed that the website had several vulnerabilities that needed to be addressed and fixed immediately. The conclusion of our research highlights the importance of conducting regular vulnerability assessments on WordPress-based websites to reduce the risk of vulnerabilities being exploited.

Automating WordPress Vulnerability Scanning & Threat Assessment
The purpose of this work is to increase the threat assessment coverage against the most common Content Management System (CMS) in use, WordPress. WordPress represents 63.8% of all CMS in use on the Internet. The product’s ubiquity has made it a target for exploitation, with around 90,000 WordPress sites attacked every minute. This threat vector is not included in risk reports to customers and, as a result, is a critical gap in identifying and remediating risks. Using a combination of open-source tools, data format conversion and process workflow. a WordPress vulnerability service was created that abstracts the complexity of the underlying API calls and presents the output into a customer-friendly non-technical executive summary, with the findings correctly formatted to import into the risk register solution. The service increases the threat assessment coverage by adding detections for 37,627 known WordPress vulnerabilities. The human effort to scan each customer was reduced from 30 minutes to zero minutes.

Common WordPress security threats
- Malware Attacks: Malicious software can infect your site, leading to data breaches and loss of functionality.
- Brute Force Attacks: Hackers attempt to gain access by guessing passwords, often using automated tools to try multiple combinations.
- SQL Injection: This technique involves inserting malicious SQL queries into input fields, allowing attackers to manipulate the database.
- Cross-Site Scripting (XSS): Attackers inject malicious scripts into web pages viewed by users, potentially stealing sensitive information.
WordPress Security: Vulnerabilities, Scanning Tools & Regular Testing
WordPress is widely used content management system (CMS), with 455 million websites supported and a 60.3% market share.92% of the vulnerabilities found in the WordPress-powered websites are due to the third-party plugins and programming errors. This paper conducts a critical review of popular tools designed to automate the process of testing the security of WordPress websites by evaluating their effectiveness, ease of use, and overall value. It provides an overview of the current state of WordPress security and the importance of regular testing.
